Palais El Badii
Presentation
The El Badi Palace was built between 1578 and 1603 by Sultan Ahmed Al Mansour saadien Dhahbi. At the time it was considered one of the most majestic palaces throughout Morocco, its name, meaning the palace of the incomparable. Today, there remains a large courtyard planted with olive and orange trees, surrounded by gardens. In 1696, the Sultan of the time stole all his wealth to found the city of Meknes.
