An Escape from the City

Traffic, noise from the streets, hustle and bustle, sometimes you just need to get away from it all. An escape to the countryside is in order, luckily, Marrakech is surrounded by mountains and valleys, hostels and guest houses, waiting to welcome you for a stay.
And Made in Marrakech has picked a few of our favourites!
Au sanglier qui fume
Le Sanglier qui Fume is a charming hotel at the foot of the mountains, with 25 rooms including 10 suites, it's a quiet place to relax and unwind. There a swimming pool and many other sports and leisure activities for everyone.

Auberge de Tameslohte
Fifteen kilometres from Marrakech, in the countryside, is a luxurious 1.5 hectare olive grove, and in that olive grove is Auberge de Tamesloht. A feeling of tranquility far from the bustle of the city and work life abounds here, palm and olive trees blend perfectly with other exotic plants.
Three types of lodging are available:
- Two traditional Riads with six air-conditioned rooms with a patio and solarium providing a view of the Atlas Mountains.
- Three converted Berber tents and a caidal tent, perfect for groups looking to discover the life of a nomad. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are located nearby. All rooms are modest, yet wonderfully decorated with artisanal furniture in a natural Berber style.
There is a garden and pool, surrounded by colourful flowers and tall trees, a bar with a lounge and fireplace as well as a restaurant complete with amenities here.
The staff at Auberge de Tamesloht are happy to help out with other activities. An 18-hole golf course is located next to the auberge, and it's also possible to go hiking or head out on a tour in the 4x4.
For relaxation, the auberge offers body treatments, hammam, body scrubs, massage, manicure and pedicure.

La Ferme Berbère
La Ferme Berbere is a charming place in a natural setting.
Each of the 12 comfortable rooms surround a patio and have a an ensuite bathroom, there are also caidal tents available to stay in.
A restaurant, pool and traditional hammam and spa are also available to guests.
Douar Samra
Located in the small village of Imlil, Douar Samra has been restored by Jacqueline in a traditional manner.
Samra offers hikers and trekkers a true Berber experience, with an ideal location, located 1,850 metres above sea level. It's the departure and arrival point for trekking in the Toubka, Ourika Valley and heading to the Oukaïmeden ski resort.
Auberge le Relais de Marrakech
For a total change of scenery, book your stay at the Auberge le relais de Marrakech. Located on a 2-hectare park, the auberge provides a unique stay in nomad tents, African huts or the kasbah,the choice is yours.
