Menara Gardens

Menara is not only a historical site in the city, but a symbol of the importance Marrakesh once had. Built following an order from the Almohades caliph in 1147, it was just a 200 metres by 150 metre pool used as resource during dry spells. In 1869 the pavillion was built and the olive trees gardens were planted. Today several myths and rumours are told about this site.
