Goodbye President
Nicolas Sarkozy returned to France this week after spending three weeks in Marrakech. According to sources, he used this opportunity to play tennis, go jogging and spend time with his wife and daughter. For now he has not commented on his successor or his future.

Opening
Harmonia Open Sky Club is an upscale resort located 25 minutes from the centre of Marrakech, on the road to Amizmiz. The establishment houses a restaurant, a Pool Club, a nightclub and a hotel called Shems Moon Suite & Spa.

Football
Tomorrow Morocco will receive Ivory Coast for the second play off game, qualifying for the 2014 World Cup. After their draw (1-1) in Gambia last week, players are hoping for victory against the elephants of Didier Drogba.

Solar energy
The Company “Philips Lighting” announces the installation of LED road lighting, on 500 meters of road in the Palmeraie. This technique, based on solar energy, should over time help save energy and increase access to electricity for the poorest families.

A treat
The restaurant Pause Gourmande offers a menu of authentic Moroccan cuisine, with dishes like tagines, couscous, briouates and pastilla, everything is homemade, from pastries to pizza. On June 13th Pause Gourmande will be opening their night service from 7pm to 11pm and offering home delivery.
