Direct Flight

Air France added a new route to their flight path on Sunday 1st of April. The new route is a direct flight from Toulouse Blagnac to Marrakech.

Nightlife

The Adam Park open it's nightclub on Friday 13th of April, for this special evening DJ Hardwell will be the guest.

The Mandarin in Morocco

The luxury hotel group, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, will manage a new resort in the heart of Palmaraie. Designed by architect Pascal Desprez, this property consists of 54 individual Riads  with a garden of 300 m2, a solarium and a jacuzzi. The main house has 7 suites and a private pool on the roof. Many other facilities like 5 restaurants and bars, a reception hall with 80 seats, 3 meeting rooms and a wellness area with a spa will be available to guests. The hotel is set to open in 2014.

Standard Passengers

According to AFP, fifty passengers of low cost airline, Ryanair, were stranded on Monday in Marrakech Menara airport due to the air traffic controllers strike in Paris-Orly. One passanger says "The captain told us to wait for the next Ryanair flight, we ended up alone at night, with no one to help."

Controversy

While the Minister of Justice Mustapha Ramid said of Marrakech: "People around the world come to spend much time to commit sins and turn away from God", the answers were not long in coming. This statement,   irritated the tourism of the city, and Tourism Minister Lahcen Haddad, who said: "The implementation of the tourism strategy is the responsibility of the appropriate Minister and the Chief of government."   

Reward

The lounge of the art of living Riad Art Expo has honored the Ecolodge Kasbah Atlas, with the trophy and Heritage Creations. This award recognizes the best craftsmen and designers and Moroccan tourism professionals. This ecolodge project was created by Helene Tassin-Perrier and Hassan Aboutayeb.

Meeting

Rachida Dati, will visit in Marrakesh on April 9, for a dinner-debate which aims to present the draft of the candidate Nicolas Sarkozy. A shift that takes place in one month after that of Martine Aubry, the first secretary of the Socialist Party, in Casablanca and Rabat.
