OPENING After work started in 2007, the ambitious project of Selman in Marrakech will be the new centre of excellence of the city from next May. A palace synonymous with passion for luxury, lifestyle and pure Arab design is the origin behind this concept.
Selman owners wanted to create a hotel that shared their family history and their love of horses, they surrounded themselves with the best craftsmen in the city, who created the dreams of designer Jacques Garcia.
The Palace, located minutes away from the city centre, is on a 6 hectare park, facing the Atlas mountains, in an ideal location and near three golf courses. A family destination that preserves the privacy of it's guests, is not even comparable to international hotel chains, here the motto is to stay true to their beloved country famous for it's hospitality.
The Arab and Moorish influences of the Selman were created by interior designer Jacques Garcia. A total of 56 suites and deluxe rooms, 5 Riads which have a garden, private pool and maid service, are elegantly decorated, highlighting the exceptional work of the craftsmen.
On the openind date of May 1st, two restaurants will also be open on the grounds, one of which is located near the stables of the estate for outdoor dining.
In the lush landscape, the pool, 80 meters long, reflects the beautiful arched doors and greenery. There is also a centre dedicated to body and mind, which includes hydrotherapy treatments, massage, steam room, sauna, relaxation area and fitness room and two heated pools and an outdoor jacuzzi.
The on site stables contain Arabian horses and horseriding activities can be arranged.
