Online on 28 April 2008 | Culture

CULTURE 2nd Edition of the World Festival of meetings and music Sufi which will take place from 7 to 11 May 2008.
This festival has the ambition to preserve an artistic, cultural and spiritual heritage through meetings, the Sufi music and songs and make Marrakech high-level mediation cultural East/West.
As a result of the 1st Edition of Samaâ Marrakech for meetings and Sufi music which is held under the High Patronage of his Majesty the King Mohammed VI, in May 2007 on the theme: the Sufism, tree of knowledge and love, the Marrakesh Al Muniya association proposes to organize for 7 days, the 2nd session of meetings according to the following themes :

"-"1 / The mirrors for Princes: tribute to the Sultan Yusuf Ibn Tachfine:

Mirrors for Princes, also called sofa Kings, is a literary genre written by wise men and the masters major Sufi in the address of the princes, focused on the (warning) Naçîha an art of living and good governance. These treasures of universal wisdom are formulated through initiation epics, epic poems, novels, or initiation stories inspired senior facts of the legendary heroes of Islam or prolonging some emblematic figures of the India, Persia, the Greece and Rome. This first theme essentially will this year on the Sultan Yusuf Ibn Tachfine (born in 410 h and died in 500 h), founder of the city of Marrakech and craftsman of the central State in the Morocco. This illustrious Prince also holding of the contemplative, was a Sufi disciple, living and acting according to the ideals and lifestyles of the spiritual masters. Fire his Majesty Mohamed V rehabilitates the koubba Prince by erecting a mausoleum after his memory revered in the shadow of the Koutoubia mosque, in 1959 in the aftermath of independence. Faithful to the great spiritual principles, it is love that Youssef Ibn Tachfine founded the city of Marrakech in tribute to his wife Zaynab Annafzaouiya who was also his advisor and held with rank of Minister. Champion of the unity of the two shores of the Maghreb and the Andalus, it ensured both the consent of the Caliphate of Baghdad and the acquiescence of the Imam Ghazâli, high spiritual authority of his time. The koubba presence which embraced to the Senegal River, where the African roots of the Morocco, feed reached also the other Gharb Al Aqsâ (the Americas) before the letter as the suggests some contemporary researchers? Thus, Al Muniya aspires to reregister Marrakech on the horizon of these same principles which prevailed at the time of its foundation and its founder.

"-"2 / the Insân Al Kâmil: the perfect universal human against Nature

According to the Sufi tradition, the man is a compendium of the world. It is created in the divine universal form and totals by cosmic and métacosmiques realities. So he must exercise his knowledge on the world entrusted to him and he was responsible. This doctrine reached its culmination in the 13th century (7th century a.h.) and influence in depth media Sufis up to our days. The major axes of reflection of these meetings analyze the concept of the human universal perfect in his report to the concept of nature and the history of the respective cultures of the Muslim world and the West, ancient and medieval. And the human place in nature: is it that a link of evolution or a central being whose vocation is unique and superior as teach it the great religious traditions? Human is defined by its ability to influence the nature and the transform. How to design the relationship between nature and culture, in particular from a traditional perspective as crafts that have developed a certain type of report to the natural elements connecting knowledge, practice and wisdom? In ancient cultures, but also in modern times the report of the human nature mightily fed religious lives and ways of wisdom, philosophies and spirituality. These cultural forms are always carrying meaning and exciting challenge of our time. The contemplation of nature is one of the topics to be the predominant in traditional cultures, East and West, as is the case for the spiritual experience, including Sufi, retired to the desert, the approach to symbolic and nature by the "traditional sciences" approaches such as the alchimieÉ Humanity, now powerless to unresolved problems posed by its natural environment, is confronted with the perils of exploitation, destruction, fear the nature but also open to the promise of contemplation and the protection thereof. How the wisdom of the Insân Al Kâmil, which has guided generations of spiritual masters and contemplators can again inspire reflection and feed the horizon of the mediation of East and West of today? In organizing these meetings, Marrakech, cited iconic, located both in the East of the West and to the West of the East, predominant in the radiation of a shared Word between these two horizons.
