In 1883-1884, during twelve months Charles de Foucauld iterates through the Morocco under the dress of a Jewish passenger, equipped with a "five square centimetres workbook" and a "two cm long pencil".

In 1885, it is in full preparation of "Recognition at the Morocco".

It is one of the more concise pages and rich in information in the history of the "modern Morocco", as stated in the world, Mr. Mokhtar Belarebi, Professor at the University of Rabat, which has prepared the translation into Arabic.
