CULTURE The 'book of gold of Marrakech', a book designed by Toulouse advertising group (BUCEREP), was presented, November 26, 2008, in Marrakech, at a ceremony in the presence of local elected officials as well as several personalities.<br>
Entitled "book of Marrakech: yesterday, today, tomorrow" this book of 228 pages, illustrated more 300 photographs, traces the different stages of the history of this city, with a look also on its present and its future.
Edited by the Office Central governance Editions advertising "BUCEREP" (Toulouse - France), the book, which the realization and design times nearly a year and a half, is presented in a hit box of the "M" of Marrakesh. It is the result of a successful collaboration between academics of talents and recognized historians, and is with beautiful illustrations.
At this ceremony, in which he was made the official distribution of the book to the municipal of the City Council, Mr Serge Sellem, President of the BUCEREP group, found that this book event for academic content, format and quality of printing, will allow the reader to discover the history of the city and its evolution, between tradition and modernity.
In this sense, he issued the vÏu to see this book, the first of its kind in the Morocco, contribute to demonstrate and promote the historical heritage and modern image of the ochre city.
Mr Abdellatif Azouzi, responsible to the Wilaya of Marrakech commended, for his part, of this initiative, expressing the wish to see this book translated in Arabic and English for a wider dissemination.For its part, the President of the Municipal Council of the city, Mr Omar El Jazouli welcomed this initiative by which the city of Marrakech is undemocratic, noting that it was time for this city to have its golden book because not only it is rich in its history but also as one of the most popular international tourist destinations.
