SOCIETY A workshop dedicated to the review of the various opportunities for cooperation between the Morocco and the Germany in the areas of water and sanitation, was recently held in Marrakech, at the initiative of the network management and research of the German water (German Water marking: GWP).
Organized in partnership with the Faculty of Sciences Semlalia within the University Cadi Ayyad (UCAM), this workshop was an opportunity for participants to discuss several issues relating, inter alia, to the capacity-building, liquid sanitation and river water, desalination of sea water coupled to renewable energy and water resources management.
According to the organisers, the network management and research of German waters, supported by five German Federal departments, has in this context to the signing of two agreements, including one in Rabat with the National Office of potable (ONEP) and another in Marrakech with the Po the skills water and environment (PC2E).
These agreements concern the areas of liquid sanitation, desalination of sea water coupled renewable energy sources, capacity development and integrated management of water (IWRM).
The research institutes and the federations and the water management institutions German are strongly interested in this commitment in the sector of water to the Morocco, noted the organizers, within the 240 members of GWP are convinced that the Kingdom remains a country particularly important for the achievement of these objectives.
The GWP assigns mission is to contribute to the modernization of the sector of water in the Morocco by means of the transfer of knowledge, expertise and German technical innovations.
