Thanks to his hard work and dedication, he’s one of only 14 practitioners with this title while more than 350 to covet it.
Searching for perfection and looking to expand his skills, he headed off through several countries, including Dubai, Egypt then up to Europe where he spent time in France, Italy and even Spain. After having acquired 22 diplomas making him a versatile expert, he decided to get back to his roots and opened les Bains de Kabira in 1998 in Marrakesh.
A therapy for everyone
Located in the heart of a riad, tangled within the affluent Derb Dabashi, les Bains de Kabira cleverly blends Eastern techniques and knowledge. Besides the luxurious hammam in traditional tadelakt, the originality of the place lies in the knowledge and depth of the practices. After all, Khalid has shared his experience and secrets with his nine-person team.
A true massage, it’s not just a matter of massaging the muscles or palpating the skin. It’s a connection between the therapist and client. An exchange of energies to channel our emotions. After all, don’t you typically feel better after a great massage?
The science behind it
Far from conventional massage therapies, les Bains de Kabira offers a real trip around the world, taking its knowledge from millenium-old cultures.
Born in India, the ayurvedic technique aims to balance the organism and regulate the nervous system and hormones.
Reflexology is an art requiring a great deal of force and rigorous precision. It follows the philosophy that each region of the foot cooresponds to a part of the human body. During the treatment, the therapist aims to harmonize the energies.
Hot stone massage is done with the help of essential oils combined with volcanic stone, known as an energetic force.
A traditional Japanese treatment, Reiki is one of the most surprising massage techniques. Using simple touches, or even just scanning over the body, Reiki aims to release negative thoughts and energies.
The most popular treatment here is without a doubt Shiatsu, in which NAME is a master therapist. Using the thumb to apply pressure to specific body parts, Shiatsu is considered in its originating country as a form of traditional medicine.
