INTERVIEWS

First name, age, profession?

Mahdi, aged 32, head of communication and relationship press of MTM

What is your role accurately in the Organization of the MTM?

I am involved the communication of the MMT (Visual identity, web site and all communication media) I also manages the show press relations before during and after the show.

What were the benefits this year after the MTM?

A very strong mobilization of professionals, significant coverage on the part of national and international media and a strong international attendance for this successful 3rd Edition. Through various programs, we were able to exceed our goals in terms of wealth and exhibition visitors bearer of projects.

Can you give us some figures?

The show this year is much more important in terms of surface since it housed 315 exhibitors while we tablions on 300, which represents an evolution of 20% by number of exhibitors from the Second Edition. The number of visitors, we rejoiced to see the participation of more than 60 nationalities, it comforts us in the internationalization of the MTM and notoriety beyond the borders of the Kingdom. In addition to this we have done for this Edition, a very important program to buyers that we call the "Menara Club", it has allowed us to drain some 600 important profiles including CEOs, project leaders, Travel managers USA

What is your ambition for the next edition?

Now that the Moroccan Travel Market has this international recognition and that it is rooted in the circuit of international events, the most important is to have a strong representation of the Moroccan in the next MMT offer, the idea is to create clusters of interest on the show of interest to the "buyers." We also want to create a regional Pavilion where the different regions of the Morocco will exhibit their specificities and showcase regional tourist products.

That promise you the faithful exhibitors and new?

Our faithful exhibitors have understood since their first participation interest to expose on this international platform and the impact it has on their business... for new exhibitors we promise them a return on investment. The objective behind the MTM as a show Business is to achieve business and we do a significant effort to drain projects.

What are the benefits of the MTM on tourism in Marrakech and the Morocco?

The MMT is a business platform and the main showcase for the development of the Moroccan offer as a whole. The impact of the show are measured in the short, medium and long term. Short term projects and events triggered, in the medium term by the implementation dynamics in the sector through direct actions and in workshops and conferences and long term by the Morocco destination marketing.

What do you think of how organized the MTM?

The Organization hard MTM a years full, including for the preparation of the various programmes. During the four days of the show we focus on the logistics part especially.

Why the MMT was organized in Marrakech?

Because the city offers the most appropriate platform in terms of accommodation and air service capacity. We have indeed need routing and accommodate a large number of people during the show. Since the first edition the notoriety of the MTM is now coupled to Marrakech as is WTM in London, the IBTM Berlin or the EIBTM in Barcelona.

Do you think organizing other tourism fairs in other cities?

For the moment it is not yet in our projects but I not hiding you that we are studying the opportunity to create mini regional fairs. What is certain, this will not be the Moroccan Travel Market.

What do like do you in Marrakech?

Observe the stars... I have the impression that they are more sparkling in kech! (laughs)
