TOURISM They came from the four corners of the world a city whose strengths and charm are more to show, thus reinforcing a dream both fondled by several members of the international Ski Club of journalists (SCIJ).

200 Journalists skiers, representing a 30 countries, arrived Saturday evening in Marrakech in the 56 - th meeting of the SCIJ (23-30 January), the first in Africa and the Arab world.

Before their stay on the tops of the Oukaimeden ski journalists spent Sunday in the discovery of the city, its monuments and its sumptuous palaces, without forgetting the place Jama'a El - Fna square, the souks and Medina ryads.

Some of them, who came for the first time in the Morocco, have not hidden their wonder with the atmosphere of the city, the splendour of the architecture and the wealth of historical sites.

"I have the impression of living a fairy tale in this atmosphere of colours, happy faces and usability I rarely meet in my country," entrusted to the Agency MAP Johan Söderlund, journalist with the Swedish daily Aftonbladet.

"The day where we were told it was going to go skiing in the Morocco, I thought it was a joke, because for me the country was more known for its beaches, its dunes..." "I discover now quite something else", he added.

For Emmanuelle Jowa, reporter for Paris Match and President of SCIJ-Belgium, the Morocco of this sports event organization opened a gap on the African continent and will integrate this country as a new nation member of the Club.

"Marrakech with its colours, its flavours, magical landscapes provides all members of the club a new energy to face in the best conditions the Ouka tracks", she welcomed.

Ms. Betty Cleeren.

"Participants have been pleasantly surprised by perfect organization, warm welcome and the atmosphere", said the map this passion for the Morocco, for which, the stay will be doubly rewarding insofar as it will be dotted with sightseeing tours, in addition to meetings and discussions on the potential economic of the Kingdom, the participation of women and freedom of the press.

Organized with the support of several partners, including the ministries of Communication, tourism and youth and Sports, as well as the agency Maghreb Arab press (MAP), the 56th meeting SCIJ knows the participation also of the Royal Moroccan skiing and mountain sports Federation.
