TOURISM About 200 professional journalists attending the 56th meeting of Ski club of journalists (SCIJ-Morocco Oukaïmedene 2010) visited Monday to Tahanaoute within the province of Al Haouz, where a warm welcome was reserved.

They arrived at the headquarters of the provincial area of the development of Al Haouz associations, journalists skiers from 33 countries, and members of the Royal Moroccan Federation of ski and mountain and SCIJ Belgium have been received by the wali of the region of Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz acting and Governor of the province of Al Haouz, Bouchaïb El Moutaouakil as well as by other officials and local civil society actors.

In a festive atmosphere, the journalists were subsequently, invited to make a tour through the different dependencies of this space creates a partnership between the national human development Initiative (NHDI), the provincial Council and the social development agency (ADS), for a total amount of 6.000.000 DH.

Explanations have been provided to journalists on the associative structure, which involves 1.626 driving local associations in the various sectors including education, the creation of activities generating revenue (AGR), the fight against illiteracy, culture, sport, health, children, youth, agriculture, tourism, and drinking water.

This space is a unique experience of its kind in the Morocco, also has 100 cooperatives and 5 spaces, 4 associative spaces of circles within the province namely: Tahanaoute, AIT Ourir, Amezmiz and Asni and space of the Pashaluk of AIT Ourir.

Space is fixed to objectives, inter alia, improved capacity and knowledge of the associative actors in the areas of the Organization, planning and management of the projects, the consolidation of the Exchange and complementarity with other local actors, the promotion of the collective initiatives in the areas of health, education, rights and participation of women and young people, and the guarantee of coaching and training for the benefit of the associations.

"Your presence today is a living meaning of the growing interest that arouses in you the need to facilitate more developed North-South cooperation", he said, noting that the choice of the Kingdom as the first African country and arabo-musulman accepted for the foundation of this 56th edition, is a reason for pride for the Morocco.

In this context, he pointed out that the Kingdom, which has a large dynamic under the enlightened guidance of S.M. King Mohammed VI, has achieved significant progress in various areas, including human rights.

Mr. El Moutaoukil, also spent reviewed also a series of building opened by the Morocco in democratization, modernization of the institutions of the State, and social upgrading in order to substantially improve the indicators of human and sustainable development, in accordance with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) arrested by the United Nations.

The purpose of these conferences is to have a better idea on the Morocco, its culture, its traditions and its economic and tourist assets.
