Entries already opened for participation in the second edition of MFNT 2010, a major event at the international level of decision makers of the new technologies and micro-finance. Two years after the first edition held in India, the ochre city hosts in effect, the second International Conference on Microfinance and New Technologies (MFNT) which will be held March 11 and 12. According to the organisers, the main objective of the event is "to strengthen the synergies between the two sectors to develop the use of the Technologies of Information and communications (i.c.t.)" "in microfinance.
The theme "What winning models for access to financial services of non-bancarisées populations?", the Conference will address several topics including information and systems management for microfinance, Mobile banking and microfinance, as well as technology solutions to improve the performance of microfinance institutions. About 50 international experts will lead the Conference including representatives of Institutions in Microfinance (I.M.F.), companies specialized in the i.c.t., banking, telecommunications and the transfer of money, regulation authorities, consultants, public and private donors, and international cooperation agencies.
The demonstration should also attract not less than 250 decision-makers from around the world according to the organisers. In addition, national and international exhibitors will participate in this second edition to put forward their products and services. The 1st Edition of the MFNT Conference was held, on 21 and 22 October 2008, in New Delhi. The event gathered while more than 70 stakeholders coming from India and from around the world.
