CULTURE For almost a decade, Moroccan Cinema has the wind in its sails: more and more numerous productions and more and more neat. Better yet, some Moroccan films are remarkably distinguished themselves in prestigious festivals, signs of a better future for the Moroccan Cinema, awakened suddenly a long lethargy.<br>
A new dynamic which continues its path as also evidenced by the many important film events in the country as the Festival International du Film de Marrakech (MIFF), born eight years ago.
And suddenly, the Moroccan film long boudé, returned with the success and the public, more and more interested in out news on the national screens. An attendance and a love for the Moroccan film and also of course the other international productions to confirm and to consolidate more grace to the MIFF, now one of the great rendez-vous cinema in the agenda of national and international professional film and especially the Moroccan public.
As evidenced, inter alia, the testimony of the filmmaker and American screenwriter Milos Forman of Czech origin, who had stated at the previous edition of the FIFM which he was the President of the jury, that the festival of Marrakech stands out by its openness to all cultures, styles and cinematographic sensitivities.
Before to add that the festival is is said in short time as a major event in the global film agenda very valued by professionals from here and elsewhere.
Renting and insisting on the opening of the festival of Marrakech, this great filmmaker thus confirms the resolution of the Morocco to continue on this path and to make the brewing culture one of the fundamentals of the nation.

A jury which includes Sebastian Koch (German actor), Joaquim de Almeida (Portuguese actor), Hugh Hudson (Director, writer and French producer), Caterina Murino (Italian actress), Agusti Villaronga (Director and scriptwriter Spanish), Natacha Regnier (Belgian actress), Ghita El Khayat (Moroccan psychologist) and Mariama Barry (writer and jurist Guinean-Senegalese).
In addition to the films in the running and general public projections, this edition will be marked by other moments with menu a tribute to international cinema, in this case, "40 years of British cinema", "the Russia of Andrei Konchalovsky", "50 years of Moroccan Cinema", and "the best of Youssef Chahine".
