The wali also welcomed the holding of this meeting so that choice of the theme which he said, to justify further by the fact that they coincide with the debate and reflection around a construction site structuring which constitutes a major turning point in the modes of territorial governance of the Kingdom, namely the project of the advanced regionalization.

Mr. El Moutaouakil, figures to support, also highlighted all of the potential that conceals the region of Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz on natural, economic and social, recalling that economic area strengths are based on the industry, crafts, tourism, mining as well as on fishing.

After having focused on the strengths of each sector of the regional economy taken individually as well as on its constraints, Mr. El Moutaouakil advocated an increase in the efforts of all stakeholders and their effective involvement in a participatory approach for the achievement of the planned sustainable development.

Mohamed Horani, President of the MEGC, with respect to him, indicated that his organization supports regionalization advanced, such as announced by the sovereign, stressing, in this context, that the Confederation has 31 federations has worked for the establishment of a Centre for regional development 2009/2012 to allow small and medium-sized enterprises to develop their competitive capabilities.

After having recalled that the region of Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz has significant economic potential to drain investments colossal in the various areas of activities, particularly as regards SMEs, M. Horani called all of these entities to find an adequate platform for their organization and their modernization by integrating new technologies.

Create more wealth and a real added value

And M. Horani noting strategy of MEGCs vision 2020 is based essentially on an inventory of the activities available in each region for the establishment of an appropriate framework for investments, stressing the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors in the achievement of the socio-economic development.

Youssef Mouhyi, President of the Union Régionale de Tensift of the MEGC has a presentation on key sectors of the economy of the region as well as investment opportunities available locally.

Initiated in partnership with the wilaya of Marrakech, this flagship event served to opportunity for all participants to engage in reflection on the means and mechanisms to enable the implementation of innovative enterprises and a regional economy more competitive and prosperous.

This meeting also aims to develop a State of the premises of the regional economy, to implement a road map and to develop a seamless vision to achieve the social and economic development of the region of Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz.
