SOCIETY His Royal Highness presided over the signing of 4 partnership agreements for the professional strengthening of women.

Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem, Chairperson of the National Union of women of the Morocco (UNFM), chaired Saturday in Marrakech, the ceremony of celebration of the world day of the woman, commemorated on 8 March of each year. H.r.h. Princess Lalla Meryem has also been praised by Omar El Jazouli, President of the Council of the commune of Marrakech, Abdelkebir Berkia, President of the Council of region Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaërs, Saïd Oulbacha, President of the Rabat Prefectural Council, Omar Bahraoui, President of the Council of the city of Rabat, José German Camarero Gil of the Foundation "ESAN for development and innovation in the South of Europe and North Africa".Said Raji, Director of the national Observatory of the rights of the child, as well as by members of the national Office of the UNFM and other personalities. After having cut the symbolic Ribbon announcing the opening of an exhibition of female craft organized on this occasion, h.r.h. Princess Lalla Meryem completed a tour of its different pavilions.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the provincial Office of the UNFM in Marrakech, Khadija Feddi noted that significant achievements obtained by the Moroccan woman helped the Kingdom to achieve a qualitative leap on the regional and international plans for the preservation of the rights of this social class.

"Moroccan women exceeded today rights claim stage, since it holds important positions of responsibility and actively participated in the development of our country", she added, highlighting the efforts made by the UNFM for the promotion of the conditions of women. Hanan Loulidi, Chairperson of the Committee on Legal Affairs to the UNFM, highlighted the various actions undertaken by the Union.

During the past year, including the establishment of centres of listening and guidance for women in five cities in the Kingdom, namely, Rabat, Casablanca, Fes, Tangier and Oujda.

These centres, which will emerge in other cities of the Morocco, will assume a mission awareness and guidance in all areas relating to the rights and the status of women to the Morocco, she said.

At the same time, h.r.h. Princess Lalla Meryem presided over the ceremony of signing of four agreements of partnership to strengthen the professional skills of women. Signed by j. Rhmani and r. Lamrini, first Vice-President of the UNFM, the first convention focuses on the development of professional promotion programmes.

The second, signed by Lamrini, Ghmani, Berkia, Oulbacha and Bahraoui, is the creation of a vocational training centre in Rabat aimed at women and girls not from disadvantaged neighbourhoods or towns targeted by the National Initiative for human development (NIHD). The construction and development of this centre will require a budget of 10 million dirhams.

Signed by v. Gil and r. Lamrini, the third convention focuses on the integration of new technologies in the various centres of the UNFM.

The last convention, signed by El Jazouli and k. Feddi, is designed to promote the status of women in the city of Marrakech, and in the NHRIS. At the end of this ceremony, h. Loulidi presented to h.r.h. Princess Lalla Meryem a book on the activities of the UNFM, entitled "the National Union of women of the Morocco: reality and perspectives".

Princess Lalla Meryem spent reviewed a detachment of the municipal guard which made the honours, before be hailed by the Minister of health, Yasmina Baddou, the Minister of Education, of higher education, of training managers and scientific research, Ahmed Akhchichine, the Minister of employment and vocational trainingJamal Rhmani, the wali of the region Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz, Mounir Chraïbi, and the Commander of the place of arms of Marrakech.
