CULTURE The MIFF declared open the first competition of short film for the school of the Kingdom.

For the 10th edition of the Festival International du Film de Marrakech which will take place from 3 to 11 December 2010, the MIFF adds to his bow and for the first time a competition of short film dedicated to students who are studying cinema throughout the country.

At the national level was a boon to never miss at any price for these students who imagine already future recognized directors and a good hand for expanding youth seeking to realize and present film schools.

Procedure and rules of participation:



"-" Is 29 min maximum shot in digital 16 or 35 mm

"-" the short film is to send as a DVD to their respective schools

"-" There must be a synopsis, a technical and artistic record, a mark of achievement and finally the curriculum vitae of Director budding. By stating that in the end all is to return before October 22, 2010 at the following address:

Foundation of the International Marrakech Film Festival - P.o. box 14212 - Riad Laârouss, Marrakech, Morocco.

After review of all the short films by a jury composed of professionals and film personalities, only 10 will be selected and selected to be screened during the Festival so that in the end is awarded the achievement of short film, that will have pleased the majority and which will have made other. The winner will have the honour to receive hands of his Royal Highness the Prince Moulay Rachid grand prize of 300 000 Dh for the exclusive dedication of a second short film that will have to be sealed off in the 3 years following and supported by the foundation of MIFF who can give rights to an interested producer that she will choose with care in remaining "" producer or co-producer principal of this project.

This initiative is part of a concern for development of film creation between current producers and young people who follow their way to their employability.

The opportunity to demonstrate that the 7th Art is an integral part of our culture and our country.
