SOCIETY Kick-off of a series of transactions relating to environmental education in schools, gave Wednesday in Marrakech, in the activation of the program of the Ministry of National Education with the National Charter of the environment and sustainable development.
On this occasion, a delegation from the Ministry of National Education visited El Kelâa des Sraghna and Marrakech during visits to number of schools in the region to inquire of the different activities that organize the students for the protection of the environment, and to stop experiments drivers in this area.
The members of that delegation conducted in this regard, the launching of an operation management of school spaces and their decoration, through the planting of trees, before following a series of performances, including poetry reading sessions and theatrical presentations.
He was made also to the launch of an operation involving the promotion of the use of economic lamps for rational management of energy, in addition to awareness-raising campaigns on the need for a rational use of water.
"The kick-off of the program of the Department relating to the consultations on the National Charter for the environment and sustainable development was given today (Wednesday)", entrusted to the MAP, Mr. Abderrahim Kassiri, head of the division of school life in the Ministry of national education.
And further that this program provides number of activities, including research in environmental matters by schools, workshops for the identification of the potential of the region in the environmental and cultural fields. The objective being the development of "a guide to biological diversity" for each region from the end of next April.
