CULTURE The 5th festival dedicated to the Walnut began Friday. Chaired by the Governor of the region of Al Haouz common Asni Mr BouchaÏb El Moutaouakil, this new edition is to be again this year a vector of development of walnut in the service of the environment and sustainable development, tree so valuable in the region and almost vital to some people with it to live.
High color event was able to bring together more than 40 associations and farmers local to the delight of the organizers by building a bit on the cultural richness of the region with an impressive and warm opening with artists in folk performances and shows at the event coincided with the date of the 11th anniversary of the accession of King Mohammed VI SM to the throne. There were also exhibitions on walnut and many sports tournaments, competitions and demonstrations of several sports such as football, martial arts, athletics and many others.
The main purpose of course being considered Walnut as a cultural and heritage symbol by giving it the attention it deserves and with the knowledge to good use.
