SOCIETY Mounir Chraïbi: Marrakech an ambitious town that believes in its future Marrakech is an ambitious town that believes in its future and the real wealth is the genius of its population that may have a few years as a world-class city and a city open to the world and the future, said Mr. Mounir Chraïbi, wali of Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz region. Mr. El Anbassi Mohamed, President CROAT, as-to-him, recalled that since its foundation by the Almoravid and the protectorate, the city of Marrakech is developed through an infinite number of public and private interventions and referring to a consensus of social, economic, political and cultural interests. This consensus, he explained, allowed him to maintain a balance and to benefit from a harmony between its buildings and gardens that make it the evidence of a civilization and cultural heritage.This two-day meeting, which brings together a parterre of academics, architects, experts of local elected officials and specialists from the urban question, serves as a platform to discuss issues related, inter alia, "to upgrade urban of the city of Marrakech", "local governance: basis for the process to upgrade urban", "the conciliation between the process of urban requalification and the efficient management of natural resources" and "what architecture for Marrakech."
