19ème Rallye Aicha des Gazelles

19ème Rallye Aicha des Gazelles

Online on 17 February 2009  |  About the city

SOCIETY 14-March 29, 2009, the rallye Aïcha des gazelles of the Morocco convene for its nineteenth Edition over 120 crews from around the world: Morocco, Canada, France, Spain, England, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Angola, Nigeria, Russia, Senegal, Cameroon, Ukraine, U S A, Portugal,... in a test of orientation on the slopes and the Morocco dunes.

This year, on the anniversary of ten years of reign of his Majesty the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, the nineteenth Edition of the rallye Aïcha des gazelles of the Morocco him will be dedicated in tribute to his commitment to the status of women. The arms of the Kingdom will be proudly displayed on vehicles and in the documents of the race. It should be noted that, in an islam tolerant and open on modernity, and under the leadership of his Majesty, legislative and constitutional adjustments and reforms are put in place to ensure the promotion of social, legal and institutional Moroccan women's status and to ensure its equitable representation at the level of the Government, Parliament and local communities.

In the extension of this testimony, the Women's Forum, a forum devoted to the themes of society that animate the life of African and Maghreb women, will be held in Essaouira on March 29 and 30, after the arrival of the rallye Aïcha des gazelles of the Morocco.

The agreement of the Crown for bringing this tribute to him, today further strengthens, supports our vision of the racing, a respectful test of local populations that bans the speed (and GPS!) and brings a hard local development.

Speed or not, the finish line or the road?

This atypical test philosophy even offers a response to this question.

The rallye Aïcha des gazelles of the Morocco is a race reserved for women, a test international with maximum security, both for the populations that crews (first test to have in place a satellite vehicle monitoring, not crossed villages, an average of 40 km/H on the test).

In addition to the race, but throughout the year, as actions are put in place by the organizers of the rally to help women and Moroccan children: helps the establishment of bed and breakfast, ATV purchase so that girls can attend school, creation of a genuine medical caravan (doctors, gynecologists, nurses, ophthalmologists, USA with the support of Total) will be treated more than 20,000 people this year (the equivalent of the city) (of Moulins in Allier it!), highly unlikely encounter between an association of women and ranchers of the centre of the France a project of cheese in two small villages isolated Atlas (3 thirty eight tonnes initially filled with refurbished farm equipment on 11 February next in Coulandon - France), USA.

The list is not exhaustive, it is just abundant. The image of Dominique Serra, the creator of the rally of the gazelles of the Morocco, who deploys a boundless energy, an energy visible from above!

* Practical information
